SKETCH OF THE LOCATION OF RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT

A residential masterplan in the Urban Planning Line - a territorial sketch for a new residential district in Yekaterinburg. The project establishes the fundamental principles of site organization - building placement, circulation hierarchy, open space distribution, and infrastructure routing - at the earliest stage of design, when the most consequential decisions are made.

Urban Strategy

The masterplan defines residential blocks, public parks, pedestrian networks, and vehicular access routes at a scale appropriate to the Yekaterinburg urban grid. Building orientations are calibrated for solar access - critical at 56°N latitude - and prevailing wind patterns are used to locate green corridors that channel clean air through the district.

Environmental Framework

Solar-calibrated building orientation: every unit guaranteed minimum direct sunlight hours year-round.

Wind-responsive green corridors: linear parks aligned with prevailing winds to ventilate the district naturally.

District-wide environmental quality standards applied to all residential blocks from the masterplan stage.
